1. Types of steel rolling workshop
Billet workshop: According to the weight of rolled ingot and billet variety, the billet workshop can be divided into preliminary rolling workshop, slab workshop and blank opening workshop.
Initial rolling workshop: mainly produces square billets and slabs with a width of less than 1500 mm. The weight of rolled ingots is 1.2-16 tons.
Slab workshop: It mainly produces slabs with a wide width, and the weight of rolled steel ingots is 6.5 ~ 32 tons.
Opening workshop: mainly produces small and medium-sized steel billets and thin slabs, and the weight of rolled steel ingots is less than 1.5 tons.
Finished steel rolling workshop; according to the variety of finished products, finished steel rolling workshop can be divided into section steel workshop, hot-rolled steel sheet workshop, cold-rolled steel sheet workshop, seamless steel pipe workshop and workshop for producing some parts blanks or parts.
2. Mechanical equipment of steel rolling workshop
In the production of steel rolling, in addition to the main process of rolling the rolled products on the rolling mill, it also includes a series of auxiliary processes, so a large number and many types of mechanical equipment are required. The weight of mechanical equipment in a steel rolling workshop can often reach thousands to tens of thousands of tons.
Steel rolling machinery is divided into two categories: main equipment and auxiliary equipment.
The main equipment is the equipment for rolling the plastic deformation of the rolling material, which is generally called the main machine or the main train. It also includes one or several working machine bases and its transmission devices.
Auxiliary equipment refers to various equipments other than the host computer, which are used to complete other auxiliary procedures. The number of auxiliary equipment is large and there are many types. Moreover, the higher the degree of mechanization of the sword, the greater the proportion of auxiliary equipment in the total amount of workshop machinery and equipment.
Therefore, the auxiliary equipment in the steel rolling workshop has a great influence on the product variety and quality, as well as the productivity, mechanization and automation of the workshop, and is of great significance for improving the working conditions of workers.
